BipoläR works for better follow-up and treatment of bipolar affective disorder. The objective of BipoläR is to create conditions for organisational development, evaluation and research on e.g. long-term effects of medication.
The registry is intended to include all patients with bipolar disorder who have made a visit to an outpatient care unit.
Two types of registrations are done in the registry: new registrations and follow-ups. As of October 2015, there were a total of about 50,000 registrations in BipoläR.
In 2014, a total of 8,854 registrations were made in BipoläR.
In 2014, 28% of the bipolar patients who visited a care unit were registered.
Note: Variable lists are updated on a regular basis and should therefore be seen as preliminary. For the latest version, please contact the registry.
