Every year, over 3000 individuals develop lung cancer in Sweden. The purpose of the National Quality Registry for Lung Cancer is to provide information on diagnostic procedures, staging methods, tumour characteristics, planned treatment, study participation and follow-up. The register provides data for quality monitoring of the management of lung cancer patients, and for research studies.
All cases of invasive primary lung cancer, except autopsy-detected cases.

Registered cases 2002-2015: 47.200
2008-2014: 95 % of cases compared to the Swedish Cancer Register.
