The registry aims to include all patients who develop primary malignancy of the liver, gallbladder or bile ducts. The registry is also an intervention registry for surgical or ablative treatment of secondary malignancy of the liver. Length of hospitalisation for inpatient care interventions is registered, but not outpatient contacts.
Registration is done using a registration form, a tumour intervention form and a complications/PAD form. The incidence of primary malignancy is less than 1000 persons/year, as is the number receiving surgical interventions for malignancy of the liver.
Age 16 and up.
The registry contains more than 10,000 registration forms, more than 5000 tumour intervention forms, and more than 5000 complications/PAD forms.
For the 2014 operating year (as of September 2015), 1500 registration forms, 1000 tumour intervention forms, and 850 complications/PAD forms have been reported.
Coverage rate is calculated against the Cancer Registry for primary malignancies (ICD-O-3: C22.0,C22.1,C23.9). Coverage rate according to check control in Sept 2015: 2009-2014 91 percent.
Note: Variable lists are updated on a regular basis and should therefore be seen as preliminary. For the latest version, please contact the registry.
